Experienced Cosmetic R.N.

Job Purpose:

Responsible in the delivery of cosmetic procedures and providing guidance to patients regarding cosmetic purchases under the supervision of a physician. Maintains patient confidentiality, participates in staff meetings and abides by the general rules of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Position Accountabilities and Performance Objectives:

Performance Requirements:

  • -Knowledge of cosmetic products and makeup application.
  • -Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care.
  • -Knowledge of computerized scheduling and record maintenance.
  • -Ability to make decisions with little or no supervision
  • -Ability to communicate effectively
  • -Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective, cordial working  relationships with patients, clinic staff and the general public.

Education:

  • -Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Experience:

  • -5+ years experience preferred in cosmetic injections and laser procedure

Pay Rate:

  • -Negotiable hourly rate

Hours:

  • -Flex schedule

Certification:

  • -CPR Certification

Other Requirements:

  • -Must present professional attitude and appearance. Willing to work flexible  hours.
    • Required experience: Laser, Injections: 5 years

      Certified/Registered Medical Assistant

      Job Purpose:

      Responsible for assisting in the delivery of specialty care and patient care management under the supervision of the physician &/or physician extender. Maintains patient confidentiality. Participates in staff meetings and abides by general rules of conduct as outlined in the employee handbook.

      Essential Job Functions:

    • -Prepares patients for examination, treatments and procedures. Obtains height, weight and vital signs and short patient history. Assists physician and physician extenders as needed in the care of patients.
    • -Maintains medical records—updates history, adds information, fills out physical examination information, etc.
    • -Maintains timely flow of patients. Informs patients of appointment delays of 30 or more minutes.
    • -Prepares and administers injections, applies and changes dressings and removes sutures.
    • -Assists with surgical procedures, including but not limited to: removal of skin lesions, shavings, curetting, clipping, frozen sections, etc.
    • -Assumes responsibility of outpatient load requiring these (and other) services.
    • -Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments and procedures, including sterilization of equipment.
    • -Maintains and keeps well-stocked examination, treatment and procedure rooms with necessary supplies and instruments.
    • Cleans rooms daily. Notifies Clinic Coordinator or Surgical Coordinator when supplies are low.
    • -Screens telephone calls to physician, physician extenders, clinic coordinator or others as indicated. Instructs patients regarding medications and treatments using established protocol or as physician/physician assistant directs.
    • -Labels and maintains proper handling and storage of specimens and tests. Ensures proper disposition of test results (i.e. laboratory, pathology).
    • -Documents test examination results in patient charts.
    • -Issues educational material and assists with patient instruction/interpretation.
    • -Assists receptionist with appointment schedule as needed.
    • -Schedules referrals to other providers, tests, treatments and physical therapy.
    • -Works with other staff members to foster a team approach to the highest quality of patient care and staff cooperation.
    • -Attends required meetings and in-services; participates in committees as required.
    • -Maintains patient confidentiality.
    • -Performs other related work duties as required.
    • Performance Requirements:
